- 1976 to 1994– Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) – Corporate Legal Department.
- Started as a Junior Lawyer, then a Counsel, Senior Counsel, Assistant Legal Manager, and from 1987 The General Manager, Corporate Legal Department.
- Licensed to appear before the Constitutional and Cassation Courts in the State of Kuwait.
- Legal advisor to various Governmental & Semi Governmental entities, major international & local companies on major civil, corporate and commercial projects. Expertise’s include the fields of oil and gas, corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, licensing and franchising, EPC contracts, local litigation and local and international arbitration.
- Acted as a Special Counsel for Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) in the EQUATE project and in the establishment of EQUATE Petrochemical Joint Venture Company and in the project financing for EQUATE.
- Advised on multinational BOT projects in Kuwait.
- Advised on major EPC contracts in GCC countries.
- Advised on major hotel management companies in GCC countries.
- Advised on the establishment of Kuwait Telecom Company (JV company) in Kuwait.
- Advised international contractors on Electricity and Water project of the Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW), Kuwait.
- Conducted LCIA, ICC and ad hoc arbitrations.
- Advised on corporate financial restructuring.
Other Activities
- Lectured in various field of Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law, Corporation law and Privatization Law.
- Attended various international conferences, seminars and courses held in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Arab Countries.
- Member of The State of Kuwait's Supreme Petroleum Council from 1996 to 2009.
